Wire Harness Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

Work on a variety of projects across the motorsport and automotive sector both on and off vehicles, where your input will directly contribute not only to the successful delivery of projects but also to support the success and growth of the business
Manufacture motorsport and automotive electrical harnesses
Work alongside and collaborate with the engineering team
Provide support for harness and electrical system design development and build
Responsible for builds of low and high voltage assemblies and enclosures

The ideal Wire Harness Technician will have:

Previous experience in automotive, motorsport or aerospace environment
Previous experience with wiring harness manufacture
The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and harness manufacturing drawings
Must have experience with the following techniques: Wire wrapping/twisting, Moulded parts/ System 25 and Service loops
Knowledge of connector systems, wire types, and sleeving
The ability to work to automotive and/or motorsport wiring standards
Experience working with high voltage cables and connectors (Desirable)
Knowledge of end of line testing (E.G Cirris) (Desirable)

Our well-established client is looking for a Mechanical Inspector who has excellent attention to detail to join their growing team!

Mechanical Inspector Roles and Responsibilities:

First off, final and first article inspection of CNC milled prismatic components, CNC turned machined parts and fully assembled products to high aerospace quality standards
To ensure all products are inspected at planned stages preventing non-conforming product, to include 1st off, FAIR, Final view, pre-treatments, goods in / out.
Dimensional and visual inspection of product at all required stages of manufacture.
Raise Purchase Orders on subcontract suppliers
Raise NCR for non-conforming products in accordance with procedure, label and contain non-conforming parts
To ensure product nonconformity is communicated to the quality engineers and production in a timely manner.
Complete FAIRs in accordance with the applicable procedure.
Utilise customer quality process and software as required; E.g. Net Insp
Attain and comply with customer approved inspection requirements eg DSQR
Compile and approve certificates of conformity
Attend and input into RCCA 8D meetings as required.

The ideal Mechanical Inspector will:

Have prior experience as a Quality Inspector
Experience working within a engineering workshop environment within the Aerospace industry
Have excellent attention to detail
Be able to read and work from engineering drawings
Experience of using electronic and handheld measuring instruments

Machine Shop Team Leader Roles and Responsibilities

Managing colleagues working shift patterns ensuring that the business is delivering a high level of Machine shop performance to achieve business KPIs
Ensure that all risk and COSHH assessments are in place and up to date and that employees are informed of, and understand, those which are relevant to their area of responsibility
Onboarding, setting targets and objectives, conducting appraisals and performance reviews to identify and support training needs
Handle employee relations matters such as overseeing absence management with timely return-to-work interviews and leave authorisation aligned with company policy. You will coordinate activities on shift to ensure that production targets are met efficiently and safely. You will act as the first level of escalation for issues that cannot be resolved!

Shift Manager Role and Responsibilities:

Ensure all reports are managed and have up to date accurate job description; PDRs, SMART objectives linked to business objectives
Regular reviews of performance and development need to enhance performance and capability
As the Senior Manager on site out of hours you will act as incident commander for the site in the event of an emergency (such as fire, flood etc)
Monitor standards across the factory on shift ensuring that all systems and procedures are correctly applied particularly with respect to Health, Safety and Environment, quality, security, HR and housekeeping
Drive / support the day-to-day business process such as WIP, over-makes, production planning, material planning and job history and planning
Act as mentor and coach giving guidance and advice on the handling of production, projects and HR issues and will attend and lead the morning Operations review meeting
Lead on shift for the implementation on lean manufacturing tools such as Quick Kaizen and problem solving. Working closely with Site Leadership Team and Key Project Leaders to ensure that the initiatives are implemented in a consistent and professional manner
Act as the focal point on shift for the implementation of projects, actively encouraging participation across the shift, support all Projects which will involve cross shift participation
Support each production job through the process to ensure that FMEA, Risk Assessments, Control plans and SSOW are in place for processes
Represent customers in production helping to raise the awareness of quality on shift by ensuring good feedback to the HPT’s of issues raised
Drive meetings such as the 3C’s Meeting, Shift Safety Meetings and the daily Operations meeting
Facilitate and drive the process ensuring that all up and coming jobs are reviewed and planned for working with other stakeholders you will be accountable for the output of this process which does not exclusively include, grade reviews, control plans, risks, spoil and making reviews.
Have an overview across Operations for OTIF actively on shift to ensure that order cut offs are as accurate as possible
Develop own technical expertise to support improvement activity, projects and to help solve production problems
Support the SAFE process and procedures ensuring this is delivered and maintained
Expected to take up activities, chair meetings and carry out actions delegated by the Papermaking Manager/Mill Manager which are deemed necessary and within the boundaries of such a senior role
Organise, control (and regularly review) the sites activities in conjunction with Department Managers in order to ensure the achievement of both day-to-day and longer-term targets with respect to quality, output and costs

The ideal Shift Manager will:

Strong understanding of production processes and procedures
Good understanding of Lean manufacturing tools and techniques
Competent with IT systems and the use of various CRMs, ERPs, and other management systems

Avionics Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead the avionics engineering life cycle through active management of resources and personnel
Assure the project scope for the design and development of products, through the TRL levels with handover to production at TRL 6/7
Own and manage the avionics brief for internal and external design consultants, ensuring that the design contract is implemented and managed through timely reviews
Deliver effective management
Seek safe and cost-effective design and manufacturing solutions to meet requirements, working to align designs to both Modini and regulatory engineering standards
Ultimately responsible for the technical delivery of all design changes throughout the construction and handover stages
Lead the continuous improvement of project delivery and the design management processes
Risk management and mitigation, including quality and safety
Budget and schedule management against an agreed timeline
Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role, including all standards and code compliance, and all planning and regulatory permissions
Ensure design and configuration management through the efficient application of company CAD systems.

Avionics Engineer Ideal Candidate:

Educated to bachelor’s degree/HND/HNC level in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotic, Motorsport, Automotive or Aeronautical all considered)
Proven experience of managing multiple, interfacing concurrent product design and prototyping teams
Comfortable in fail-fast methodology, where design, build and test to failure can offer rapid results to accelerate programme delivery
Experience in using and customising the ArduPilot autopilot system based on the CubePilot hardware platform
Understand flight dynamics and system functionality of the typical autopilot
Experience with PID Controllers and tuning methods
C/C++ programming on embedded systems
Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) experience
Proficient in using UNIX based OS
Familiar with DroneCAN communication protocol
Familiar with source-code control systems such as Git to co-ordinate development
Experience in designing both analog and digital electronics
Signal conditioning - experience in designing analogue and digital FIR/IIR filters
ARM architecture experience

Role Overview:

To safely receive, allocate, and prepare raw material bars for manufacturing by cutting into billets and ensuring correct allocation to work orders. Machine Shop Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a leader in the design and manufacturing of bespoke valves for a variety of industries and they are looking for a Machine Shop Maintenance Engineer to join their team!

Roles and Responsibilities:

Your duties will include machine monitoring, general machine repairs, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and compliance with 5s across the site. You will also be involved in project managing future development of the machine shop
To undertake day-to-day maintenance activities, routine service, fault finding, and repair of machine shop and production equipment
Carry out inspection and preventive maintenance of key equipment in line with the company’s management control procedures
Maintain inventories of all tools, equipment and supplies
Liaise with the Production Manager with regards to how machine maintenance work will be planned and communicated across the site before work commences
Ensure all relevant risk assessments have been completed prior to starting any in-house maintenance projects
Assist the Production Manager in the management and control of contractors ensuring compliance with all relevant health & safety and environmental legislation and permits
Carryout PAT testing of all electrical appliances in line with schedule, maintaining suitable testing records
This role may be required to undertake out of hours working as necessary for emergency call-outs and planned production management activities

Ideal Candidate:

Understanding of CNC machines
Understanding of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
Forklift licence
PAT Testing Qualification City & Guilds 2377 – Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
Mechanical fault finding and repair of pumps compressors, fans & rotating machinery
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems; fitting, fault finding & repair
Plumbing, pipe fitting, compressed air systems
Safe systems of work; permit systems & risk assessments
Use of lifts, scaffold towers, fork lift truck user (preferably PASMA/PAL certified and fork lift licence holder)
Highly motivated self-starter, able to act on their own initiative and have the ability to set priorities in a constantly changing environment
Confident of working under limited supervision following standardised practices or procedures
Ability to demonstrate good planning and organisational skills
Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
Basic Computer Literacy (Excel, Word and Email)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supporting in development of a roadmap on new technology introduction, machine & tool standardization and low-cost sourcing to maintain competitive advantage for company produced products in the market
Work with the Production Engineers to produce, maintain and continually improve the most cost-effective production routing/methods for all manufactured components.
Accurately record both projected and actual manufacturing costs for each component as proof of most cost-effective routing/method
Work closely with Production to ensure continuous improvement in production operations and product quality, resolving issues during manufacture
Working closely with Operations Director to execute the operations strategy aimed at reducing cost through technology introduction, low cost sourcing
Develop advanced machining capability at the company while reducing cost of the day today repeat tasks
To support the Operations Director in bringing improvements to all in-house manufacturing, increasing automation, reducing set-ups and increasing available production time wherever possible
Working closely with Quotations/Design Engineers to ensure new products take into account estimated cost and ease of manufacture
To be involved with the Design Engineers & R & D teams at the outset of all new product development. Ensuring new and adapted designs take into account ease of production and suitability of materials
To develop a master costing sheet for each component within the Visual estimating window. This shall include the estimated cost of manufacture including tooling, quality requirements and % of manning needed for the job
To review the manufacturing cost against the engineering master to verify the success of the job and its associated cost
Continually review & improve all existing manufacturing methods and associated CNC Programs
To manage and support the work of the Production Engineers ensuring that programs are produced inline with best method, machine capability, in cycle inspection requirements and known level of manning. This is verified by the master costing sheet
To develop with the Production Engineers fixed tooling sheets for each job.
To work alongside the machine shop supervision and flow leader to ensure machines are set and run as per the method agreed and inline with the tooling & program provided. To ensure that the ownership of the programs and method rests with the production engineers who sign off the method/programs after proving. All future changes have to be proved and accepted by the production engineering department after the cost/quality improvements have been shown on the master costing sheet
To take responsibility for the safe storage and efficient retrieval of all CNC programmes and methods
Help drive a culture change throughout the production department by ensuring shop floor staff has the confidence and support to work to the CNC programmes and instructions provided
Make recommendations for new tools and equipment which will bring improvements and benefits through increased output and cost savings
Work with the Engineering team to standardise design features
Work with the Production Engineers to create programmes for standard features which use a standard suite of tooling
Encourage and obtain shop floor feedback which will contribute further improvements to work instructions & procedures
To assist the process improvement team in continual improvements of methods and processes by evaluating latest technology to increase automation. To be an active participant in lean initiatives throughout the Company such as 5S and Kaizen

Ideal Candidate:

HNC Qualification in mechanical engineering is desirable
A considerable amount of hands-on machining and machine shop experience
A significant level of production engineering experience
Ability to understand and use Edgecam computer aided manufacturing system
Ability to read and understand CNC programmes
Have experience & knowledge of all types of manual & CNC machinery

Systems Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

Produce initial layout designs integrating machinery and conveyor systems into complete process lines
Develop detailed 3D models of mechanical process lines and structures using CAD software
Create accurate 2D drawings including plans, elevations, and civil layouts
Prepare specifications for civil works and steel frame structures, including dimensions and load calculations

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ensure that all company installations and serviced equipment represent good reference sites
Optimise the performance of new installation equipment and existing assets as part of continuing new product provision and service and support to end users
Undertake final testing and commissioning of installations in relation to new and existing equipment
Carry out service work on company equipment and ancillary equipment including works on company control systems

Ideal Candidate:

Worked from mechanical and electrical engineering drawings ideally from an electrical engineering service or a plant/production maintenance background

Completed an apprentice scheme or an NVQ minimum Level 3 in an Electrical / Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Engineering discipline and you will have a minimum of four years’ experience

Working Hours and Benefits:

Monday – Friday: 7:00am to 15:30pm (Overtime available)

Reporting to the Managing Director the Quality Engineer will have the remit and autonomy to implement such measures that are necessary to help ensure customer satisfaction relating to product quality and process compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The role will be focused initially on manufacturing quality; however, there may be scope for growth and development in the future which may extend to include management of the factory QMS
This is a hands-on role, not purely a reporting function. The Quality Engineer will be expected to assist in any change implementation and drive its execution
Perform timely and accurate ISIR measurements and submissions as required.
Collate customer PPAP submissions when required
Create and implement internal quality alerts as required. Ensure known/recent issues are communicated – ideally with visual reminders
Spot audit/inspection based on data/risk. Follow up on past issues to ensure any previous corrective action has been successfully embedded, process changes have been instructed and implemented
Help drive a culture of quality excellence and right first time
Develop and communicate appropriate KPIs
Liaise with key suppliers and communicate measures of their performance
Lead customer driven and internal 8D investigations, determine root cause, preventive and corrective actions. Communicate outcomes using specific customer required documentation and protocol
Handle any customer rejected components/complaints – logging in system, materials disposition through to corrective/preventive action. This may include entering data in customer specific procurement portals
Complete customer requested compliance data requests
Maintain detailed and auditable records

Ideal Candidate:

Must be able to competently interpret 2D mechanical engineering drawings
Must be proficient in standard MS Office suite tools handling basic data manipulation/interpreting and writing reports
Must be comfortable with occasional customer-facing duties (visits and report feedback sessions as required)
Must possess basic familiarity with ISO 9001 or a higher management system
Ideally has worked in a fast-paced mechanical engineering / metal fabrication subcontract environment (desirable)
Ideally possesses experience of using measurement equipment such as CMM and basic hand measurement and gauging devices (desirable)

Roles and Responsibilities

Design of both bespoke and standard control panels, as well as electrical installation schematics, for a variety of wastewater treatment projects
Create detailed electrical schematics, 2D layouts, and wiring diagrams for control panels, compliant with customer specifications and industry standards using CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)

Up to £35,226 per annum (depending on experience)

An established and growing company in Keighley is looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machinist to work with high-quality machinery in a supportive, innovative environment.

CNC Miller Roles and Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate a variety of CNC machines, particularly Doosan HM630 and Trevisan 31i
Ensure machines are set accurately first time, every time
Conduct self-inspection of work to maintain high-quality standards
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently
Identify, suggest, and implement improvements to existing machining processes
Support and mentor apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise
Maintain alignment with the company’s core values
Perform other tasks within your skillset as required

CNC Miller Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience in CNC machining
Proficient in programming with Fanuc and Siemens 840D systems
Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and workplace standards
Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 compliance and commitment to quality
Familiarity with 5S methodology and continuous improvement practices
Excellent communication, punctuality, and team collaboration skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to change
Positive attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality work
Aligned with company values and committed to personal and team growth

CNC Miller Working Hours and Benefits:

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Flexitime system with an early finish on Fridays
33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays)
