Our client is well-established and leaders in their field, they are recruiting for a Yard Hand / Forklift Driver to join their growing team!
Yard Hand/ Forklift Driver Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carry out production duties provided by Production Supervisors
- Ensure that all bins are emptied and all forms of waste are removed from the shop floor areas
- All pallets are removed from the factory and stored outside, or off-cuts of wood are stored in the relevant racks
- Flammable liquids or chemicals on the shop floor are stored in approved locations
- All scrap materials are kept within the relevant scrap containers and appropriately controlled
- All gangways and working areas are kept clean and free from obstructions
- To assist in with spares assembly work when required
- To assist with the packaging, loading and un-loading of goods
The ideal Yard Hand/ Forklift Driver will:
- Experience of working in a yard environment in a manufacturing company
- A counterbalance forklift licence
- Ability to operate a variety of hand tools
Working Hours + Benefits:
- 7am to 3.30pm, Mondays and Tuesdays
- 7am to 3pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays
- 7am to 2pm on Fridays all with a 30 mins unpaid break
- 25 days holiday
