Supply Chain Director
Wallingford
£75,000 - £80,000 Per Annum
Our client, a well-established leader in their industry are looking for an individual who can take responsibility for developing and managing their Purchasing, and Supply Chain functions.
Supply Chain Director Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review and manage the relationships with key stakeholders, evaluating and negotiating terms and prices on a regular basis
- Analyze supply chain profiles, solving any issues that arise
- Manage the company logistics functions and ensure company compliance and performance to regulatory standards
- Create and deliver a set of strategies in terms of improving quality, total cost and speed to market
- Engage suppliers in sustainability programs, improving environmental footprint
- Ensure that best practice inventory management techniques
- Work closely with the heads of departments to ensure stock availability sales
- Develop optimal supply chain networks, transportation, and warehousing
- Conduct off-site inspections to check policies and procedures are being upheld
- Develop, train and motivate direct reports
The ideal Supply Chain Director will:
- Educated to degree level and/or proven experience working in a similar role
- Formal qualification in procurement and/or Supply Chain, eg. APICS, CIPS, IoSCM etc
- SAP or similar experience with relevant procurement systems
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience
- Minimum of 5 years management experience
- Manufacturing/Engineering experience desirable
- Global supply chain experience
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30
