Our long-standing client, leaders in their industry, are looking for a Service Delivery Engineer to join their ever-growing team!

Service Delivery Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for IT issues, following them, through to ensure they are complete
  • Work within a virtual team to provide support to staff around the globe with IT issues escalating where necessary to other teams
  • Responsible for any escalated calls and will ensure that these are resolved acceptably to both parties
  • Support local systems such as servers, storage telecoms and networking as well as managing company phone systems and time clock systems
  • Ensure adequate backups are completed and monitor the availability of global systems through existing portals
  • Be responsible for ensuring adequate backups are completed, logging/ resolving /escalate issues and managing company phone systems and time clock systems
  • Provide technical assistance and training to computer users on the application software, hardware and computer services and be responsible for IT hardware and software inventory
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers on software, hardware, telecommunication for leased line and telephone system to maintain proper relationship for better maintenance and support for local systems
  • Ability to internalise and advocate the customer’s position
  • Precise and have attention to detail, meeting commitments and delivering continual improvement within communicated and well managed budgetary restrictions
  • Once up to date join or cross lead a Virtual Team

The ideal Service Delivery Engineer will:

  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution is a benefit
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems to Windows 10 client and Windows Server 2016
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere infrastructure
  • Knowledge of HP server and storage technologies
  • Experience of working in a global multinational company
  • Knowledge of VOIP and PBX systems
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and its applications
  • Knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec version 14 to latest version
  • At least 3 years’ experience in IT
