Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Manager

Our client is a leader within their industry and they are looking for a Quality Manager to join their growing team!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participating in management meetings and working with operation team peers to achieve quality related KPI targets and CI goals on a monthly basis
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and daily production quality management identifying the suitability of products against t customer specification
- Build and manage customer relationships; owning, investigating and responding to customer queries and complaints in a timely manner and documenting progress using this appropriate tools
- Introduction and management of 5S in the key main areas of the business, Weld room, Assembly, QC, Technical, Maintenance and Toolroom
- Managing the customer service emails to ensure all customer enquiries for production related quality concerns are responded to and resolved quickly
- Monitoring, measurement and reporting of non-conformance performance; disposition; concession preparation and submission; designing rework methods; initiation of investigation
- Ensuring all components we receive from third parties meets our own quality standards in line with QMSR081 inspection criteria, certification requirements and raising advisory notices to suppliers where issues arise
- Working with internal stakeholders, supporting the returns process, ensuring that all returns are validated and processed in line with Company RMA procedure
- Issuing credit notes where required and managing stock reallocation and or rework where appropriate
- Manage the internal audit program and take control of the internal auditors to ensure coverage of the key procedures during each calendar year for adherence against the latest top-level standards of ISO 13485 & ISO 9001
- Generate and control the Audit schedule and ensure that all NCRS raised are closed out within a reasonable time frame
- Promote continuous improvement and manage the inhouse 8D program
- Keep the relevant Quality registers up to date and accurate
- Line Manage the Quality Controller team, undertaking competency assessments, and managing absence cover
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience of working to ISO13485 and / or experienced internal auditor to 9001 or 13485 (Desirable)
- Experience of WinMan (ERP) and ALS (Production Monitoring) systems (Desirable)
- Member of ASQ or CQI (Desirable)
- Hold an engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng (Desirable)
- Six Sigma Greenbelt (Desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely Qualification and / or Previous supervisory experience (Desirable)
- Proven experience of Production Quality Engineering in the manufacturing sector, preferably plastics.
- Experience of working to an ISO accreditation and managing the associated QMS
- Detailed understanding and experience of applying six sigma principles tools for problem solving
- Experience working in a fast paced environment with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Experience of managing customer relations, including concessions
- Competent to read engineering drawings and measure components using metrological equipment
- Commercially savvy, making the right decision by balancing customer and business need
- Computer literate, including MS Windows/Office Products and MRP systems
- Experience of undertaking root cause analysis on quality issues, and resolving them by putting corrective and preventative actions in place.
