Purchasing Manager

£40,000 Per Annum
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their growing team!
Purchasing Manager roles and responsibilities:
- Procurement and purchasing for plant hire and BPH attachments
- Manage a two person team of purchasing staff
- Management of daily activities that secure the supply of direct materials to support the business
- Liaise with new and existing suppliers
- Stock control of attachments, consumables and parts
- Stock forecasting and monthly stock takes
- Goods in & dispatch
- Arranging carriers using 3rd party transport
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on time
- Import / export arrangements
- Lead change management for the purchasing team, supporting new product introductions
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices and procedures in all areas
The ideal Purchasing Manager will be:
- CIPS Level 5 qualified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good negotiation skills and proven experience of cost saving
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, stock control and CRM systems
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Experience of HM Customs and import/export requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working technical knowledge of attachments industry a bonus
- Team player
Internal Sales Executive Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 - 17:30
