We are looking for self-sufficient and motivated individual to join a company with over 40 years’ experience in the specialist design, development and production of agricultural machinery.

Production Welder Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Read drawings and take or read measurements to manufacture parts
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) using appropriate tools and jigs
  • Operate hand tools and the overhead crane to transport, materials jigs, components etc.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • To produce the required batch of components, ensuring that all the components within the batch comply in all respects with the specifications
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiative

The Ideal Production Welder Will:

  • Be a NVQ L3 qualified or time served MIG Welding that has experience within a production environment
  • Experience of welding at speed
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Professional certification (e.g. welding certificate/previous coding experience) (Desirable)
  • Forklift certification (Desirable)
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System and an awareness of any Environmental impacts (Desirable)
