Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Hungerford, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on manufacturing professional to lead a skilled production team, drive operational improvements, and play a key role in achieving high standards across safety, quality, cost and delivery.

Production Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Production Technicians, providing day-to-day support, guidance and performance management
Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements
Drive production performance to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets
Ensure products are manufactured in line with customer specifications and internal quality standards
Maintain compliance with ISO9001 and relevant quality procedures
Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives
Work closely with engineering teams during the product design process to ensure designs are suitable for manufacture
Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies, processes and improvements
Provide hands-on support within production when required, offering additional resource and training guidance
Manage production timesheets, resource planning and departmental requirements
Develop and maintain training records, competency matrices and employee development plans
Complete production documentation and reports to demonstrate compliance with Health & Safety, quality and customer requirements
Produce management reports and support month-end reporting activities as required

Production Manager Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager position
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing production teams
A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
Experience working within an ISO9001 manufacturing environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example

Production Manager Working Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 16:00
Friday, 07:30 – 13:00
40 hours a week
