Production Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 Per Annum
Our client is recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join their growing team!
Production Manager roles and responsibilities:
- Utilise project management skills to set up of a new production facility
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the new production facility
- Guaranteeing that products are manufactured and delivered to schedule and cost targets
- Produce clear and accurate production output forecasts and regular progress reports
- Maintain plans are ensure that objectives met, by holding regular production meetings and inspections
- Effectively supervise technicians and manage technician training
- Assist process engineers in process improvements and documentation
- Make sure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Quality Procedures. (ISO 9001-2015)
- To ensure that all products are delivered to the highest possible standard, exceeding our customers’ expectations, whilst complying with relevant external standards e.g., IEC 61010 – Electrical safety – Laboratory equipment
- Act as the initial point of contact for all issues within the designated unit
The ideal Product Manager will be:
- Production or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Proven ability in production management, including creating & delivering manufacturing plans within budget and timescales
- Experience in manufacturing cell layout and set up for efficient workflow and high productivity
- Knowledge of superconducting magnet manufacture would be beneficial
- Familiar with ISO 9001, RoHs, IEC60601-1 quality standard within production/manufacturing and striving for continual improvement
- Aware of the Safety at Work Act and experience of risk assessments
- Has solid IT and presentation skills
