Production and Logistics Controller (12 Months Fixed Term Contract)

Our client, a global electronics manufacturing company, are recruiting for an enthusiastic and skilled Production and Logistics Controller to join their team.

Production and Logistics Controller Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the Production Control and Logistics Team including performance management and development, setting KPI’s, objectives and contributing to site engagement and improvement activities
  • Creating and updating the Manufacturing Production Schedule weekly in conjunction with the production manager
  • Liaise with the sites key stakeholders to ensure that the customer facing team, the supplier facing teams and the internal facing teams are all in sync
  • Ensure the shop floor is serviced with raw materials to ensure 100% achievement of the Manufacturing Production Schedule
  • Ensure the kitting team are well supported, directed and motivated
  • Be responsible for management of the stores area including regular cycle counts to ensure a plan is in place to maintain a healthy level of inventory
  • Delivering functional improvement activities to ensure effective team governance, visual management, KPI management and improving the physical environment of the teams
  • Observing and complying with company health & safety policies and company standard operating procedures
  • Support continuous improvement in the above areas

The ideal Production and Logistics Controller will:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (Supply Chain Management & Project Management skills are desirable)
  • Demonstrate a successful track record within a similar position at a similar level
  • IT Skillset including ERP, MRP systems (SAP, Epicor etc.), Microsoft Office and Power Bi is advantageous
  • Demonstratable experience negotiating, persuading and influencing at a senior level, both externally and internally
  • Positive, enthusiastic with a track record of making significant improvements in their areas of expertise
  • Data driven with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
