Our client is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join their specialist workshop team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft components within a fast-paced and quality-driven aerospace environment.

Mechanical Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose aircraft mechanical components
• Disassemble, clean and assess components for repair
• Carry out repairs and replace parts as required
• Reassemble components to approved standards and deadlines
• Work from technical manuals and engineering publications
• Ensure all work complies with Part 145 and company procedures
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
• Accurately complete all required documentation and system updates
• Contribute to a positive team environment and continuous improvement activities

Mechanical Technician Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within aerospace, automotive or manufacturing environments
• An understanding of engineering drawings and technical publications
• Knowledge of commercial aerospace practices (desirable)
• A recognised engineering qualification (BTEC, ONC, HNC/HND or similar) is advantageous but not essential
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Mechanical Technician Working Hours and Benefits:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
