Our long-standing and highly respected client, based in Newbury, is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Goods in Operative to join their expanding team.

Goods In Operative Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload deliveries of components and equipment
  • Check incoming goods against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Verify quantities and inspect for any visible damage or discrepancies
  • Carry out visual inspections and basic functional tests to ensure items meet internal and customer quality standards
  • Report any quality concerns, damages, or non-conformities to the relevant department
  • Accurately input stock information into the inventory management system
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date records of all received goods

Goods In Operative Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Confident using IT systems, particularly warehouse or inventory software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience working with electronic components

Goods In Operative Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00
  • Friday 08:30 – 16:00
  • Pension scheme: the employee typically puts in 5% and the company will contribute 3%
  • Medicash
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holiday
  • This holiday allowance will increase after 8 years of service with another day added on from the 9th year for 5 years up to maximum of 30 days holiday
  • Both pizza and breakfast are provided by the company once a month
