Our client is recruiting for an experienced Functional Safety Engineer to join their growing team!
Functional Safety Engineer roles and responsibilities:

Functional safety development of electrical and electronic systems in line with relevant standards

Engaging with customers and other key stakeholders to identify, agree and capture the relevant functional safety requirements applicable to a project
-
Dissemination of the functional safety requirements into the engineering team to drive right first time design
-
Supporting the development of verification and validation test plans
-
Work with the different areas of the business to ensure functional safety requirements are implemented to the required standard
The ideal Functional Safety Engineer will be:
- Have a degree in engineering or other relevant discipline
-
5+ years’ experience in a relevant role and industry

Detailed working knowledge of ISO26262 and its implementation within a product supplier environment
-
Experience in working on the delivery of time-pressured projects and working in a customer-facing environment
-
Experience of functional safety in other relevant industries, systems modelling/simulation, model-based and/or embedded C/C++ software code development and system testing / commissioning is preferred.
