Our award winning client has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their specialist team which is ever growing and progressing!
Field Service Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, service, maintain, and repair vehicle dismantling and recycling equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Service air-operated and mechanical pumps
- Work independently, with occasional team collaboration
- Support workshop assembly, testing, production, and repairs as needed
Field Service Engineer Ideal Candidate:
- Background as a Field Service Engineer, Mechanical/Plant Fitter, or Maintenance/Service Engineer
- Strong mechanical experience with hydraulic and pumping machinery; experience with compressors and vehicle lifts is a plus
- Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Confident with electrically powered machinery
- Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Experience with stock management and job allocation
- Willing to travel nationwide with overnight stays
- UK work authorisation, full driving licence required; forklift licence preferred
- Physically fit for manual tasks; maintains an organised work environment.
- Detail-oriented, committed to quality workmanship, and tech-savvy with tablets/smartphones
- Positive, personable, and professional approach
Field Service Engineer Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 17:30
- Overtime at time and a half
