Design Engineer - contract

Starting £40.00 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Design Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team in Northampton on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for engineering design, looking to contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment.

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions for a variety of projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of designs
• Use CAD software to create detailed designs - Catia5 and Solidworks
• Evaluate and test prototypes to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and client requirements
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and solve design challenges as they arise

Design Engineer Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience in [industry specifics, e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil engineering] is preferred

Design Engineering Working Hours:

• Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:00
