Cad Designer

£25,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience
Our client design, develop and fabricate precision components and for industries including motorsport. They support customer racing in championships around the world and they are looking for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join their team!
CAD Designer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Produce product designs, manufacturing methodologies, costings, and documents
- Create engineering drawings for internally and externally use
- Work closely with lead engineer and technical team to understand the customer requirements/needs to find solutions utilising standard/existing products where possible
- Manage technical and sales projects, manipulating customer CAD files for quoting
- To create and maintain records within the Company’s engineering policies in the ERP system
- Attend customer meetings to discuss their requirements
The ideal Design Engineer will:
- Be an experienced CAD Designer
- Have a strong skillset with Solidworks
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods would be Ideal
- Have the ability to increase efficiency and performance through well designed products and processes
- A flexible “can-do” approach, keen to get hands on within a team and as an individual
- Must be able to work alone or as a group
- Ideally will have some experience with surfacing for press tool creation etc.
- Be forward thinking, with the aim to streamline the companies design department
- Project management experience (desirable)
Working Hours + Benefits:
- Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 16:30
- 25 Days Holiday in addition to Statutory Bank Holidays.
