Our client is recruiting a Design Engineer to join their growing team!
Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and produce wiring diagrams for bespoke machinery, in addition to all mechanicals
- Develop ideas and concepts through manufacture, of bespoke major assemblies from the ground up, using Autocad
- Able to work with and program logic relays, motor drives
- Use Autocad to produce variants and tooling drawings for legacy machine equipment
- Produce minor assembly drawings for glue associated equipment to customer hot machinery
- Produce detailed equipment manuals using MS office tools
- Frontline contact with customers at their site
- Working with a team of engineers
- Well organised and punctual
The ideal Design Engineer will be:
- Experience within a similar job role of at least 5 years
- Experience in packaging and processing automation
- Proficient with 2D or 3D Autocad
- Strong familiarity with manufacturing processes, milling, turning, welding/fabrication
- Experience in mechanical engineering and design tooling
- Experience of new product introduction, including design, development, protoyping, testing and approval, successful introduction
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
