At Jackie Kerr Recruitment, we are excited to be recruiting for a skilled Control Theory Specialist, to join our client's team based in Bradford on Avon!
Control Theory Specialist Responsibilities:
- Work within the team of mechanical, control, electronics, and mathematicians, to build on the proprietary actuator system and control algorithms that the company has developed to meet the needs of the market
- Interface with the company's partners and customers to understand their requirements and to deliver the assistance that they need to use our products
- Develop and improve methods and procedures to enhance and assess the performance of the system (interaction of mechanics, control, and electronics)
- Develop, maintain, document, and improve product specifications, qualification standards and test methods
Control Theory Specialist Candidate:
- Engineering degree in a relevant subject, typically Engineering, Mathematics or Physical Science
- Previous experience in developing motion control technology
- Strong mathematical, experimental design and analysis skills.
- Software skills, Simulink, Simpack or other real-time multi-body dynamic modelling software.
- Proactive problem-solver; ability to analyse and assess information and situations, and present creative solutions to challenges.
- Experience or understanding of control theory and systems (such as sensors, actuators and controllers)
Control Theory Specialist working hours:
- Guided hours are 08:30-17:00 (these can be flexible)
- Both hybrid and on site work
