The Commercial Manager will work closely with the project management team and be responsible for commercial control to ensure Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

Commercial Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with existing M&E Contract Managers
  • Manage costing, planning, estimating, and tendering processes for M&E and pipework projects
  • Working with subcontractors for big orders
  • Supervise and lead commercial reviews for all plumbing and pipework-related projects
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and in line with internal standards and compliance requirements
  • Liaise with various engineering departments

Commercial Manager Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a Commercial Manager, Estimating Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role
  • Have a background in M&E systems, industrial engineering, pipework, construction, or manufacturing
  • Experience managing projects and working collaboratively with Mechanical, Electrical, and subcontract teams
  • Flexibility to cost / estimate multiple jobs whilst managing live projects
  • Knowledge of temporary works, plumbing, utilities, or related mechanical and electrical sectors
  • Have a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (e.g., Degree, HNC, HND, Diploma or equivalent)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, JCT, and subcontractor contracts
  • Must be based within a commutable distance to our head office in Swindon
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel as needed
