CNC Milling Machinist

Andover, Hampshire 

£28,000 - £34,500 Per Annum (Dependent Upon Experience)

Our client is looking for a CNC Machinist to join their growing team!

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the setting and operation 5 Axis CNC milling machines (Mazak/ Fanuc)
• Carry out CMM inspection and production of inspection reports
• Run high precision components such as gearbox machining in low volume batches
• Choose the right tools for each stage 
• Abide by a scheduled list
• Work within a 5’s manufacturing environment
• Work from engineering drawing of components

Ideal Candidate Will:

• Experienced background in engineering CNC Machining
• Engineering HNC level 3 desirable or the equivalent
• Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances
• Competent with geometric tolerances
• Experience of editing CNC programmes – FANUC or similar
• Have the ability to read engineering drawings
• Be able to carry out 100% of inspections 
• Proven track record essential
• Being able to problem solve
• Work individually and as part of a

Working Hours and Benefits:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
• Overtime available
• Overtime is paid at 1.33 for the first 10 hours, then any hours exceeding the first 10 is paid at 1.5 and 2x if a Sunday or Bank holiday is requested (This is rare)
