CAD Technician
Swindon
Salary between £30,000 – £35,000
Our client based in Swindon are looking for a CAD Technician to join their rapidly growing company!
CAD Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
- Interpret architect’s drawings
- Design tapered insulation systems to drain and insulate flat roofs
- Calculate U-values, condensation risk analysis and acoustic performance through to material take-offs
- Work closely with clients, the design team and project architects
- Manage compliance checks against the specifications and client requirements
- Attend design development meetings
- Undertake site visits to check progress
- On the job training will be provided for specialist design software used
CAD Technician Ideal Candidate:
- AutoCAD proficient
- Competent in MS Office
- Experience within the construction / structural / civil engineering sectors
- An understanding of basic U-values
- The ability to read construction drawings
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to inspire confidence and develop long term relationships
- Has a ‘Can do’ attitude
- Good work ethic and aptitude for continuous learning and improvement
- Able to work under own initiative and meet deadlines
- Punctual, smart and hardworking
CAD Technician Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 09:00 – 17:00
- 30 minutes lunch
