Our client is a global provider of engineered electronics. Collaborating with customers in the transportation, industrial, medical, and aerospace markets. Our client has the opportunity to employ a full-time Cable Assembler on a contract. Due to the nature of the role, the candidate needs to be a UK Citizen.
Cable Assembler Responsibilities:
- Reliable team member that can work independently within the team
- Meets expectations of Core Values
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Possesses a basic understanding of the principles of Lean manufacturing
- Possesses a basic understanding of visual workplace management
- Follows standard work as trained
- Works toward meeting the standard level of productivity and quality levels
- Performs other duties as required and assigned
The ideal Cable Assembler:
- Able to independently read and understand production drawings and work instructions
- Able to work with chemicals
- Good manual dexterity/ability
- Working in a repetitive job
- Working knowledge of quality practices
- Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system
- The position is in the production floor and could involve sitting for a long period of time, but not limited to standing walking and lifting throughout the day
- Lifting amount up to 25 pounds
- Soldering experience of one year preferred
- GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required
- Inspection experience preferred
Working hours are:
- Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 17:00
- Friday 07:30 - 11:00
These can be flexible but above are the normal working hours.
