Our client is recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join their growing team!
Buyer roles and responsibilities:
- Responding to purchase orders and requests
- Responsible for purchase order from placement to receipt
- Achieving the highest value in all transactions
- Building and maintaining relationships internally and externally
- Working cohesively with different functions on special purchase requirements
- Buying of consumable items and parts to support maintenance, repair and overhaul activities
- Updating and maintaining online catalogues and Excel Spreadsheets
- Booking of transport collections and deliveries to and from EU
- Maintaining online shipment tracking system
The ideal Buyer will be:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Team player with the ability to use own initiative
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite
- Basic Excel user level, Intermediate level ideally
- Able to self-motivate and take ownership of their job role
