Assembly Engineer

Our client who specialises in Precision Engineering, is looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join their growing team!
Assembly Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions and established procedures
- Ensure all assembled components meet the required specifications and quality standards
- Assemble in accordance with kit Kanban requirements
- Identify and rectify any assembly defects
- Maintain a clean and organised work area (5C)
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures
- Assist with the maintenance of assembly tools and equipment
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Adhere to the QMS of the business and maintain compliance to all customer quality requirements and AS9100
- Correctly identify Non-conformances and engage in Quality Clinic investigations
The ideal Assembly Engineer will:
- Proven experience as an Assembler or similar role within an engineering environment
- A strong understanding of mechanical assembly principles
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to demonstrate good use of initiative and problem solving
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain focused on highly detailed work and remain accurate
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline is desirable, but not necessary (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering)
Working Hours + Benefits:
- Full Time, Permanent Position
- 8am – 5pm
