Accounts Assistant

£26,000 - £30,000 Per Annum (Dependent upon Experience)
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a multi-award winning, independent organization within the clinical manufacturing sector. This is a position based within the finance team and it offers genuine career opportunities!

Accounts Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of UK & US payrolls (UK c.60 employees, US 2)
- Single point of contact for payroll queries
- Processing payroll bureau entries for France
- PAYE returns & payments
- Maintaining multi-currency bank accounts, posting transactions, and applying correct exchange rates where applicable
- Arranging bank payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash Forecasting
- Raising Sales Invoices
- Credit Control
- Overseeing purchase ledger input & statement reconciliation process.
- Answering supplier calls & queries
- Processing staff expenses
- Journal & Accruals
- Travel to our factory in Abingdon once a fortnight to go through details with the staff there on site
The Ideal Accounts Assistant will:
- AAT qualified
- Proven UK Payroll Experience
- Purchase Ledger experience
- Advanced Sage, Excel and accurate data entry skills
- Be willing to travel to another site once a fortnight
- Able to work in a timely manner to accounting deadlines
- Excellent telephone manner, confident & calm in dealing with external suppliers regarding payments and queries
Working Hours + Benefits:
- Monday – Friday (2 days a week in the office)
- 09:00 – 17:30 (1 Hour for Lunch)
